WP8.1 on HTC 8S

Is it true that HTC 8S won't get 8.1?? ((
I have an unlocked device and I got GDR2 and 3 about 3 weeks after the announcement. Can it be that this phone won't get an update? (

ALL current WP8 devices will be upgradable to Windows Phone 8.1. If you have a carrier locked phone, and for some reason, they don't release an update for your device, you can get the updates through the preview program.

does upgrade depend on HTC? i mean, when 8.1 is released, can they say: NO! 8S won't get it!

I really like this phone except for its 4Gb storage. The SD card becomes more interesting with WP8.1 if app installation on it becomes a reality as well as downloading maps.

It will have 8.1, because there will be 4gb WP8.1 phones allowed

4gb wasn't allowed for WP8, i have no idea how HTC 8S got through the checks...
