WP9 Action Center Concept

I can't see why MS copied other OS notification centers. They should have had the center on the left of the main screen; eg: swipe left for notifications, swipe right for app list. Think about how nice the notification center could be on the left, lots of room and easy to return to start

But with the swipe to right, it would have only been accessible from the start screen.

I totally agree with you. Makes one handed-usage easier too. It's a hassle to try to reach the top of a behemoth screen.

I'm not totally sure. On one hand, there arent many options when it comes to a notification center. You can have it come down from the top, and Android and IFans will complain. Make it come up from the bottom and IFans will think you have no creativity. In my mind, this was a positive move, and more or less the most needed implementation for windows phone. With new features in the works, one that i think will be the best is replying to texts in the notification center, which has been talked about for a long time, and obviously the carousel quick options, but not infinite. Other than that, i think action center is pretty much where it needs to be in my opinion.

kool
but the brightness slider should be optional.
the scrolling toggles are cool ... but it got another idea in my head about that in addition to this one i made.

mine groups notifications under a tile which can expend to show all notifications ...
the tile shows the most recent message from an app or individual not all messages from one person yada yada
also the tile shows 3 notifications if more notifications are present the tile flips showing the next three and the next until it start at the beginning or is dismissed.
your concept plus mine can work.
