I have seen many hints on the comments about a posible rebranding of WPCentral, which would make sense since now the page covers not only WP but everything MS related.

So I was checking some domains just for fun to see if MS had bought them, to use their name for Windows Threshold. Windows9.com? Redirects to bing. Windows365? No. Everything as expected. But the surprise came when i checked...

windowsone.com

It redirects to wpcentral!!!

Does that means we'll see a rebranding in the near future?

Since Mobile Nations is the Mother Ship for WPCentral, it still could be named windowsone at some point in time. Just saying.

We have many sites/URLs we own, none of which necessarily mean that will be the name chosen if/when we decide to rename. There are lots of considerations, including legal, to consider.

If Microsoft went with Windows One (instead of Windows 10), they may have made you an offer you couldn't refuse for the windowsone.com domain.

For the new WPCentral name, I recommend keeping the word "central" in the name to help maintain brand recognition and continuity. Both are essential, especially during a name change for a successful brand as Windows Phone Central.

Here are several suggestions for your consideration:

? Windows Central
? WinCentral
? WCentral

? Microsoft Central
? MSFTCentral
? MSCentral
? MCentral

These names may be obvious and/or boring as Daniel Rubino commented in a recent post, but I think that's a plus when it comes to recognition and continuity.
