Lately, I've been feeling that wpcentral has been posting more and more news about Microsoft and not particularly to WP. I don't know if I like it as much because now I feel like I can pretty easily miss an article that is important to WP...maybe I fee like this because I use their app more than their site. I just thought of an idea that wpcentral could make a "WP headlines" of important articles to WP on a separate page sort of like the Engadget app! What do you guys think?

I personally like that theres also news about Microsoft in general, but I could see that not everyone would prefer it that way.

Yeah sorta, mostly because of the integrated nature all the MS consumer services and products are going towards. I too welcome the news as it tends to relate to WP to some degree.

If you've seen iMore's blog page recently, they also have a lot of Mac OS X articles, not just iPhone/iPad articles.

I guess times have changed. With all of the Microsoft news, fortunately Sam does the best apps wrap up of the week, so at least I know I won't miss those.

I like more MS news. I'd prefer the name "Windows Central."

its more than windows now...they should change it to Microsoft central, and if the other mobile nations sites are posting more news that isn't about their respective mobile platform than maybe mobile nations should be renamed to TechOSNations...something like that..

I think we'll see that with all of the sites except for CrackBerry. Microsoft, Apple and Google are really placing emphasis on their ecosystems; having desktop, mobile, software/apps, media are interconnected is the current trend for each company and its respective platforms.

Not even close. A scan of the news stories show that Daniel's posts are still pretty much WP centric. He is still the WP guy.

Imore should be about just iProducts, but they talk about Macs too. So what's wrong with WPCentral talking about windows pcs and tablets too?

That would be so BORING if it was just windows phone news. I mean, come on, just think about things that happen to windows phones. There's not much of it. Nokia releases a phone every 3 months, HTC and Samsung don't do much, it would just be non-stop rumors and app updates, which to me, is very boring.

I didn't like it at first, either, but have gotten used to it. I have no interest in tablets so just skip those articles.

I thought Jay and the website designer would make it so you can filter just reading about phones, or tablets and others as well, but I guess that never came out. I like the articles about the tablets though. This site shouldn't JUST be about windows phones. I mean, imore and android central talks about their tablets too.

Latest post today by him is about pre-ordering nokias rt tablet if you live in Russia...nothing to do with WP.

I said pretty much not all. If it bothers you that much, you can always get weave rss reader and subscribe to windows phone. It will have nothing but WP articles from WP Central and a couple other places as well. But most of them are just the same info as WP Central.

I just think a name change is in order to fully recognize that this site covers more news than just news related to WP. I think this move would actually attract even readers.

I might not agree with you, but you have a totally valid point of view. Not sure how feasible a name change would be though. As mentioned above, the other OS's are also talking about more than just phones. How can you change one without the others? Plus it is Mobile Nations, so it might not go with that overall concept. And could they legally call it Microsoft Central without some sort of permission or agreement with the mothership?
