I'd like to trade this Charging Stand for a pad type.

Moved to a 950xl and unfortunately it won't work with the charging stand (DT-910) anymore.

It will work by laying the 950xl on its side. Turn tue top of the phone on its left side ans slide to the left slowly until it connects. Finicky, I know but if you don't get any trade offers, give this a try

I'm pretty sure the DT-901 is just a cloth bag with a DT-900 inside it. And, yes, i'd rather get a DT-903 too. But I wouldn't trade a DT-903 for a DT-910 even if I had one

DT-901 gives a great range of placement and is just a cool name.

DT-910 is great as a workstation stand for the upright positioning and unlocks the power of NFC.

I actually think using the DT-901 makes the matter harder because you have to do a bit more guess work as to where the charging plate is. It's really just a DT-900 charging plate inside a "pillow." Same charging area.

That said, you could always pull the DT-900 out of the pillow and use it on it's own.

I have tried that but it really would not charge at all even if the light is on and you hear the charging sound. It wouldn't drain bit wouldn't charge either.

Sorry, It worked for me. I did not have a case on during charging. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.
