I posted this on The Verge too, to see what they think of it. But I want your opinion as well, and I want to spread the word!
If you want an X-Box Smartphone, please fave this and RT it, let's spread the word out.

Why I think X-Box Phone is such a good idea?
I think the problem why MS products don't sell is because they have terrible branding conventions. The Lumia is not selling as well because it doesn't captivate the audience enough, sometimes I cringe just saying "Lumia" because it sounds so... clumsy. Of course people will ask me if I have a Windows Phone, but they don't ask what PHONE I'm using.
It doesn't have the attention grabbing capabilities that iPhone or Galaxy have. There's a reason why the Fruit Logo sells so much, as well as the Galaxy lines. It's because their brand names are very iconic and it sticks to the people's mind. It gets everyone talking. But Lumia is something that isn't just working. It's just a terrible name, I don't even think it's a proper name for a smartphone... Maybe it's great as a lightbulb because it's literal meaning is light(?). Everyone should learn from Apple's branding and marketing (if it's hot the first time around, make it HOTTER by spreading the fire)... and that's exactly what they did with the "i" branding... iPhone, iPad, iPod... iTunes
I don't have marketing/branding chops but I'm just giving my two cents. But if I were to do a blind pick between iPhone, Galaxy, Lumia... Then I'll pick the Galaxy because it sounds awesome as a brand, and it comes off as an epic space action movie like Star Wars or Guardians of the Galaxy. At least Samsung got this one right.
I think the solution for that is to use a MS brand that is already hip and cool amongst the masses and expand from it. Perhaps Surface? But I have a better idea:
I really think it's going to be an amazing idea to have an X-Box Branded smartphone, because
A.) It's already iconic, and captivating amongst the masses, and
B.) Everyone is ALREADY familiar with the brand name... so they will talk about it.
C.) It's just one of those brand names that will STICK into people's mind, and have them flock in line just to get one. Especially those who already own an X-Box console.
Apple's got the "i", Microsoft's got the "x"
I hope you guys, and even Microsoft consider this. Please spread the word!
