Xbox one elite wireless controller metal gearbox?

Hey all, I have this issue.

Xbox one controller - Thumbstick fix without replacing the module

With the grey piece popping off even after gluing. (only holds for a while)

Anyone have a teardown of new elite wireless controller?

I want to ensure the gearbox is metal (like the 360 one was), before I buy.

Or perhaps another solution, like another highly recommended 3rd party controller with metal gearbox.
