Xbox One in a 720p TV

Greetings.

I bought an XOne this week but I just have a 720p TV to play with. What's the best option to play the XOne? Let the config at 1080p even if the TV is a 720p or just set it to 720p. Would it show any difference?

It should connect and change automatically but if not then put your tv in 720.
