Xbox One Preview New UI: Does Kinect Work For You?

I upgraded to the Oct. 2 Preview Program console update today--that is, the "New Xbox One Experience" with the new UI. Immediately I noticed huge problems while using Kinect. While Kinect voice commands work, as does auto-sign-in via facial recognition, gesture navigation doesn't work at all--neither on the dashboard (used to just raise my hand and it would recognize it immediately and I could grab-and-pull my way around) nor in a dedicated Kinect game (tried it on Fantasia, Fruit Ninja, and Dance Central before giving up). I also power cycled three times and re-calibrated my Kinect three times, to no avail.

Do Kinect gestures or Kinect games work for any of you if you're on the new Xbox One UI?
