Y are some app not working in wifi?

I use Lumia 520 and some apps(instagram beta, 6tag) does not work over home wifi while it work fine on mobile data. I don't think I have any problem with my home wifi coz everything else works fine except these app. I tried reinstalling the apps but the problem continues to exit. Anybody who dealt with these problem ...plz help!

What OS version are you running on that Lumia 520? It comes with Windows 8 out of the box. There are a number of apps that will not work over WiFi on Windows Phone 8. If you upgrade it to Windows Phone 8.1 with Cyan firmware, you should be working just fine.
