so from what I read on a forum on this WPCentral site, Sam's Club and Radio Shack have the Lumia 928 for $50 for those that are eligible for an upgrade or add a new line. If I just bought a new Lumia 928 at a Verizon store today (I had to leave my awesome grandfathered-in unlimited plan on an old Droid and now on a 2GB a month plan). Can I return the Lumia to Verizon next week, still be considered 'eligible for a free upgrade' on the new monthly plan and go to Sam's or Radio Shack and purchase the phone for $50 by extending to a 2 yr contract? I don't care about the $25 MS credit thing. Or is there a chance Verizon will match the price those other places are selling it for (which I doubt they would) so I can save $100?

Between checking plans a few days ago, and again this morning, noticed Rogers Canada has switched all individual plan to 2 year agreements. The good news is that most plans have unlimited Canada wide long distance; great if you need that feature, but not appealing to me. The bad news is that they have really put the screws to data limits. I am on old plan with 3 Gb + 1 Gb bonus, unlimited local calling, extreme text, call display etc., limited voicemail for $80. The current largest data plan is 1Gb + 1Gb bonus for $75. Data overage fees have increased from $10/Gb to $15/Gb. Looks like they were not very happy about the mandatory switch to 2 year plans in Canada. The devil is in the details. To get the amount of data I am getting now would cost me $105. $25 dollars more in Roger's pocket every month to punish Canadians for switching from three year, to two year plans.

Kinda pissed they killed the $5 text plan with no warning -- I used to take it on and off my wife's line but would have just left it if I knew they were gonna kill it.

15% employee discount. Pay about $90-95/month.

:D

I know I posted in this thread before, but my plan has since changed. I'm currently under the Simple Choice $80 per month plan on T-Mobile with my mother. I have an unlocked Rogers Lumia 920, she has a 620. We get unlimited talk and text and 500MB of data each. Up until this month, we were paying $101.99 after taxes, but now we're paying $79.98 thanks to a discount we just got due to the fact that my mother works for a school. $39.99 per month for each of us. Sweet, I haven't paid such a low cell phone bill amount since probably 2007! 😊

NYC metro area

My bill runs about $110 monthly.
$70 for unlimited calls, text and data with 2.5gb tethering
$20 monthly for my Nokia 925
$10 for Jump
Plus taxes

Can't beat the price especially with the amount of data I use every month. 10 days into my billing cycle and I'm already at 3.5gb data thanks to Skype and Viber calls.
