What is your favorite movie of all time? (if you could pick only one).

Tough call for me - but one that immediately comes to mind is The Shawshank Redemption.

Sonar Kella - a Bengali movie .
Story and direction by (Late) Satyajit Ray .
Translated the name means Golden Fort.

How can you pick just ONE?
In no particular order:
Little Big Man
Schindler's List
Men in Black
Maverick
Terminator 2: Judgement Day
Princess Bride
The Thin Red Line
Willow
12 Monkeys
Lord of the Rings
Cider House Rules
Platoon
Batman,The Dark Knight
Heat
Fried Green Tomatoes
Blade Runner
Kill Bill 2
Saving Private Ryan
The Rose
The English Patient
Groundhog Day
The Matrix
Despicable Me 2
Aliens
Romancing the Stone
Jaws
Body Heat
To Kill a Mockingbird

Stop me, please....if you can:sweaty:

Lol. You can't!!!

To Kill a Mockingbird

Taken (with Liam Neeson)

GodFather

The Starving Games (Hunger Games Parody)

And a lot and a lot more, I can't name them at the moment

Let me add

Casablanca
Citizen Kane
How Green was my Valley
Places in the Heart
High Noon
The Searchers
For Whom the Bell Tolls

If I had to pick just one, probably Saving Private Ryan.

With more choices, I'd add:

Schindler's List

2001: A Space Odyssey

Dances With Wolves

Raising Arizona

The Matrix

The Fifth Element

Bladerunner

True Lies

Pulp Fiction

Kill Bill 1 & 2

Platoon

My criteria were either films that affected me deeply, or ones that I will watch any time I happen to catch them on.

So yeah, mostly war or sci-fi.

The Last of the Mohicans, Braveheart and Dancing with Wolves

Forrest Gump

To Live and Die in LA

Searching for Bobby Fisher, has more heart and soul than any other movie I have ever seen.

The Original Star Wars Trilogy holds a special place for me but it being the best is up for debate. Within my top 5 for sure.

Probably the best movie ever personally is Shawshank Redemption.

The Wizard of Oz holds up to modern standards in spite of it being over 70 years old.

I also really think Blade Runner 2049 is Sci-Fi perfection.

My other favorite movies include
- The Godfather
- X-Men Days of Future Past
- Avengers
- Shin Godzilla
- Rear Window
- Terminator 2
- Face Off
- Die Hard
- Die Hard 4
- Singing in the Rain
- A Little Princess
- The Dark Knight
- Goodfellas
