"Your Phone" sending every SMS twice

I never managed to get this to work. It always said, when I had it installed on my phone and PC, that it was running an outdated version and I had to download again. Kind of like an endless loop. Anyway, if you unlink your phone and uninstall everything and then set it all up again, do you get the same issue?
