1. No OS is magical, but Windows Phone will run well.
But I'm not sure what you're expecting.

2. Correct, although the camera is still quite nice.

3. Polycarbonate, which is still technically plastic.

4. Yes.

5. I think it'll be fine, but we can't say since everyone's usage and standards are different. We don't know until people get their hands on it to test.

6. We don't know.

Quite a bit of excitement for these new devices (730/830) that no one has yet.

But Nokia website is showing it's display is OLED

it's back cover is so glossy !! didn't they use Matt ?

White has matte. And it's a quad core device so in theory, it should be smooth

No heating issue.. Cuase it is not metal body like 925,930,830

Lumia 830 and 730 have same camera sensors 1/3.4 inch

Aperture size of l730 is greater than any mobile cam.. F/1.9. For 830 its f/2.2. So we can take better macro photos with 730

Lumia 730's display is more sharper than 830.. Cause of oled screen and low screen size

17 hour talk time in 3g.. Good

I doubt how 830 can take better photos with pure view technology..

not necessarily, my polycarbonate plastic-clad 920 can heat up significantly if I really push it
material doesn't really matter too much, since it doesn't really change whats under the hood.
now if could conduct/insulate heat to different degrees, but i dont know.

i dont know, maybe both?
Nokia's site is correct. The 73x has an OLED display (like 930, 1020), the 830 has an LCD. (like 920, 1520)

I doubt how 830 can take better photos with pure view technology..

I'll just outline one benefit. OIS. Optical Image Stabilization.
what it does is make video less shaky, allow longer exposure times (better in low light)
although I'm pretty sure there's more to it.

If my Icon bites the dust for whatever reason, I would look at the 735 because it has SD card support, replaceable battery and it's just about the perfect size (I think the Icon is a bit too big). I look forward to seeing it in stores.

Well, I sincerely hope it does launch this year. All trio, Moto G, X, Apple, Lumia 730/830 were announced more or less in the same duration, but only the Lumia phones are not yet available. It is definitely a poor marketing strategy in my opinion expecting customers to hold on to purchase Lumia phones when other options are available.

Looking very forward to the first handsons. Most probably my next. A Lumia 735.
Looks to be the best 'not so tall' allround phone for a great price.

Agreed, I have been thinking to get my wife a new phone to replace her 520, I would be after a better camera, larger screen but not as large as my 1520, more memory and better processor, was thinking about maybe a second-hand 1020 but I think she would prefer the larger screen on the 735 and it fits nicely in that all round market at an affordable price.

Would prefer it to have a hardware camera button but when I take pics on my 1520 I often just use the onscreen button anyway.
