YouTube new app not working

Ok its been a week now and the new YouTube app still doesn't work, has anyone solved this issue or is it a waste of time and just go back to the old app

It won't ever work. Google blocked it since it violated their TOS. Official YouTube Windows Phone app confirmed as being blocked by Google | Windows Phone Central
