In my experience (albeit limited) and reading through the forums Nokia isn't really any better than HTC in making quality problem free phones. Nokia makes the Windows Phone with the best camera (but only sells it on AT&T in the US) and has their exclusive apps plus good support for their phones. When it's time to upgrade again I will look at Nokia as well as HTC, but if the situation on Verizon is like it is now with the 8X and the 822 I will be getting an HTC again.

I'm not sure I'd switch from Nokia, but I might follow Nokia if they give up on WP.

When they ditched Symbian, my pride and joy, I still followed them because WP is a good OS.
If they ditch WP now, I wouldn't know where to go.

Agreed. I love Nokia and wp but I'm not sure I'm willing to go back to HTC if Nokia moves on.

I was a loyal Motorola user for years because of build quality and design, even when they switched to Android. I stuck through Android, hoping one day they'd switch back to Windows. Then Google bought them out. As soon as that happened, I jumped ship and got me an HTC Surround, then Samsung Focus, Nokia 900, and now finally 920. Looking back, I did not like my experiences with either HTC or Samsung. Since Googlerola will never make a Windows Phone, I'm sticking with Nokia.

The surface phone with a kickstand, amazing camera, nice display (higher ppi/1080p would be nice), gorilla glass 3, ability to add a keyboard, game pad, etc to it, quad core processor, 4.5-4.8 inch screen, and more.

    Who's with me?

Nokia because they are actively interested in their products. What other WP manufacturer has come with a phone AND an EcoSystem? There are a bunch of add ons, head sets, speakers, etc that pair with the Nokia line. Nokia Drive notwithstanding. It would take someone to at least match what Nokia is doing and show a commitment to the platform IMHO.

Weird thing to say in a thread about a 920, which both has a front size AND a screen size way over 4".

You mean 4" of front size, I assume, since screen size doesn't necessarily mean that much for the ability to hold a phone.
Id rather have a phone the size of for instance the iphone4, with a screen across most of the front than one with a smaller screen and the same front size.
Take the iphone5 or the 920 vs the sgs4 for instance. Huge difference in screen size, not as much in size, comparatively.

+1 to this. If Leica made the camera guts for a phone and it was a lot better, I'd be seriously tempted. Also, if Facebook or Google (?) had an agreement with one of the other mfrs to release an exclusive fully-functional first-party FB or G+ app that wasn't going to come to other WP devices anytime soon, that might be enough to sway me.

Right now, I love my 920, but more than that it's the only WP device that I like, and Nokia seems to be doing the best job of updating and pushing the ecosystem forward, so I wouldn't see any reason to jump ship to another mfr in the WP ecosystem.

What would take me away from my LG Quantum and bring me to Nokia would be a keyboard and an OS that is an upgrade to WP 7.8.

That won't happen, unless there is a Surface phone with addable keyboard.
