This is a basic function on the Mac operating system. Why is it so hard on a Windows machine? I don't want to have to click on a folder and open it to see and have access to the files inside. On the Mac finder, there is a caret to the left of a folder and you just click on the caret and the folder expands to show the contents of the folder. I've looked all over the place for a way to do this on Windows and can't seem to find how to do it. Tree view? Hidden files and folders? Nothing works.

Always been that way I think. Is this a real problem to open a folder?
Click the folder or click the claret

There is a small preview icon on the top right. Click on it.

But make sure to disable again when you want to open file to edit. Otherwise, it will say the file is open and you can't edit. 😂
