Is a Microsoft account required for Windows 10 Technical Preview

I have the .iso file and I'm about the install it but there's one thing - do I need a Microsoft account? I don't want one, I don't need one so I'm not making one. Is there a way to set it up without one? Thanks.

(I don't want a Microsoft account because I hate all the notifications and spam they send through and i've already got 3 email accounts filled with crap.)

No online account is optional, as always.. But I don't see a reason why you wouldn't want one, you can choose to not receive any email at all.

Having no Microsoft Account will limit your options with WIN10. But you do not have to use it. Although your reasoning is quite presumptous IMO.. I find my Microsoft account is way less cluttered with junk as oh, say gmail..

And you do not _have_ to use mail with the account..
