The new HP Elite X3 is sitting here with its lock screen on (as it does every 5 minutes for the rest of my life). and has a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse synced to it. The Mouse wakes the phone from sleep, and reveals the Windows Hello and Keypad for unlock, but the mouse buttons cannot press the keypad buttons.

So the only way to unlock is to grab the device itself.

Seem a whole lot of wrong. Why does Windows Phone still insist on going dark every 5 minutes.. What's the point of live tiles, or a dock, if you cant see it.

I had a similar problem, but I didn't try hitting the digits with the mouse.

As for the phone going dark, you can manually set the screen timeout period: settings > personalization > Lock screen > Screen times out after

The only thing is that this kind of setting is often controlled by your IT department, if you have any. On my phone the longest I'm allowed is 5 minutes.
