So since I installed windows 10,I've had issues. I have an AMD APU.

My laptop overheats when installing a new build. It runs fine while actually using it,but upgrades overheat.

Installing from USB,has no heats issues. But installing via windows update usually shuts off my PC and upgrade fails.

Not sure what the issue is. It also overheats when I do a clean install. I have to point a fan at the laptop to cool it down.

The laptop cools down, once I install chipset drivers. Without me manually cooling it,the laptop shuts off before the software installs.

It last 1-5 minutes without drivers and shuts off.

Never had these issues before. Might get a cooling fan, that should help.

At no point, whatever software you run, should your PC overheat and shut down. The only exception to this rule is running any fan control software which can cause issues if you slow your fan too much. Check you are not doing this. You might also have bios settings that affect your fan.

Otherwise, this is a problem with your fan/cooling. Check heat sinks are properly seated and are using just the right amount of quality paste. Clean out your case, filters and fans and sinks. Check all fans are working well. If you use a closed water system check the pump speed and listen for flow issues.

Had it for 2 years, bought the laptop 2013.
Never cleaned it out, i'm going to look into cleaning it out.
Only thing I've done is replace the HDD with an SSD.

I used to play demanding games on it fine, but after a year it would get too hot.
So I stopped, since I had it overheat a couple of times.

Temperature applications don't show the temp.
Also bios has no settings to change fan speed, pretty basic and locked down.
