Windows Central Question

Windows 10 does not connect to Linux computers over home LAN

I have a home network with two computers running Windows 10 build 10130 and several computers running Linux.

Under Windows 7 and 8.1 all computers would connect to each other correctly for file and printer sharing.

Under Windows 10 I can only connect to the other Windows 10 computer.

I have checked out all settings in Advanced Sharing Settings.

TIA

Re: Windows 10 does not connect to Linux computers over home LAN

I have the same problem. I'm running one computer with windows 10, one with windows 7 and two with Linux. I can't see any of the other machines on the windows 10 machine. Have checked that all settings are correct with no result. Need to fix this asap, due to files I need from the Linux machines.

I've been using ubuntu for some time now. But i was only successful in copying and viewing files from any windows PC connected on the same network ( linux > windows ). Not the other way around ( windows > linux ). Windows doesn't see any linux computers.
