Retrieval

My computer crashed and I had to reinstall Windows 10. As a result, I lost al of my pictures, scans, music, data for passwords et al to many accounts, etc. Lost a few documents, too, although I have most of them on an external drive. I have had a backup external drive for several months, but just never set it up - no excuse. It is now set up to do daily backups.

My quest is for retrieval. Especially the pictures, scans and passwords (also lost all of my favorites on IE11 and am no longer able to even use IE). I did download a highly recommended software program for retrieval, but it won't work with Windows 10. Do any of you have suggestions for a good retrieval program?

Ah...OneDrive. Haha, you'd be surprised how good it is for backing up all your files. If I lost my laptop right now everything of importance would be on my OneDrive. I mean, I'd be out a good laptop, and all of my app data and such, but all my pictures, music and documents are on my OneDrive.
