Why is System using so much RAM in Windows 10?

Open multiple tabs in a browser, like Opera for example, and the System process, of all things, swells up like it caught a disease or something. This didn't happen in Windows 8.1.

Given the number of Opera.EXE you have running, perhaps that is inducing a bug.

How many Threads/Handles does CPU show on Performance?

Since Opera moved to Chromium (? - that Google Chromes' thing) I stopped using Opera. It does exactly what you showed, you open one tab in browser and in task manager it opens 1+ tasks... That Opera could be why you have so much consumption by System

I would give it a little bit to finish setup stuff it may be doing in the background.

Also, is it using up all of your RAM? If you still have some free RAM, it might not be something to worry about.

Like I said, System never acted that way in W7 or W8.1. I use Opera like that all the time. Maybe W10 is doing something weird in the background.
