Why am I unable to send emails after upgrading to Windows 10?

Unfortunately I have upgraded to Windows 10, this has knocked out my Outlook 2007 email I can receive*emailsbut I cannot*send*emails. I have added POP3 settings For Yahoo. I have run sfc /scanow twice but it still does not work can anyone help me. I asked ms to help me, but all they said was that it was a laptop issue and not a Windows 10 issue. They tried to charge me for a service to update my laptop, although I do know that before I upgraded to Windows 10 it was working fine. I am really fed up and very disappointed with Microsoft... I wish I had not upgraded.

Check if your firewall is not blocking connection or your your proxy settings if using are set to "automatically detect settings". This should help.
