    Now have two 1" black bars on monitor. Am not a computer wizard - just switch and use - any simple answers to help out? Have been looking through answers on web but lost at what to do. Thanks

    settings> system> display> advanced display settings ( there should bee options like 1920x1080. change that to your monitor size)

    Thanks but I have tried that. Each time I change the screen resolution (and tick apply) it reverts back to the original input of 1024 x 768.
