W10 upgrade asks for restart, no changes
I am trying to upgrade my granddads laptop to Windows 10 from Windows 8. reservation is done, the update file is installed, and the Windows 10 pop-up tells me that I need to restart the PC for the upgrade to happen.
I hit restart, the thing just decides to restart regularly, without making any changes, without attempting to do anything, no installing updates, no "preparing your PC", nothing. A regular restart. No error codes as well. When it's restarted, Im automatically greeted by the Windows Update page, saying that "You have 1 update ready, You need to restart your PC" and well... Rinse and repeat. No changes.
I got nothing in my hand right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated as Im doing my best for my grandpa to get his familiar Start Menu back that he loves from XP..
