How can I uninstall Windows 10 on my desktop computer when I don't have a start button?

how can I uninstall windows 10 on my desktop computer when I don't have a start button?

I accidentally upgraded from 7 to 10 on my desktop computer, and now I no longer have a start button, nor the ability to find any recognizable function like control panel, to enable me to uninstall. Any suggestions?

Windows key - R. "ms-settings:" (no quotes of course).
Then in update and recovery there's a choice to go back.

(side note: I know that Windows 8.0 had no start button; first move your cursor to the bottom left corner and see if a Start thing pops up.)
