My roommate decided to upgrade to Windows 10 this morning. After the update, she noticed that she had lost all of her files (but programs were still there). The computer was new and she didn't have much on it, so she didn't worry too much and started working on an essay for school. She left to go do something and when she came back,her computer was frozen. She restarted it and all of her old files were there, but the paper she had been working on was gone (It was saved in Documents). Is there any way to get it back?

(We did look into Windows.old and tried to see if there was a restore version for the documents folder, there isn't. We also did try to search for it with the Windows Explorer and see if it was somewhere in her text editor.)
