Unable to open Windows 10 Mail

I have recently bought a laptop from PC Specialist. The initial setup went ahead without too much drama, however after having used the laptop for a couple of times since then, I logged in today and find I can't open and use the Mail app. The first thing I noticed was the Mail symbol had disappeared from the Taskbar and I can't find it on the Start menu or under All Programs either. The actual app on the right of the Start menu is showing but does nothing at all when I click on it although it does show headers from the emails in the Inbox. I have also tried to find the program in the Uninstall list but it's not there either.

I hope someone will be able to solve this for me!

Go to windows store app and check for updates for all apps. If mail app has an update, install it

I've checked for updates but nothing there. I've found a way to uninstall the app using PowerShell but this didn't work - it told me I had uninstalled the app but when I went to reinstall it,mint said that it was already installed! Make of that what you will. This is not a good start with my laptop and Windows 10 and it seems others are having the same issue with Mail. Sort it out Microsoft! I am now looking for a better email client which works like it should! Any other suggestions would be gratefully received.
