    Ok I've tried the suggested fix for this problem several times with no positive results. Mail and Calendar both worked for several months until I applied an update! Even though I was able to delete the app and reinstall it using the suggested fix it still won't open. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    What suggested problem are you referring to?

    Sadly there is not much you can do at this point. Those are system apps, so they can't be uninstalled easily. MS has engineered the store and app updates to be massive PITAs. You'll have to wait for the next wave of updates, or re-add your user account to get the apps back.
