I finally upgraded to .107 on my Lumia 640. Hard reset after upgrade. All has been great...except I can no longer receive voicemails (which worked fine with WM 8.1).

When a call comes into my phone and is unanswered, the caller gets the message that "that is not a working number". It does not connect to voicemail. I can access the voicemail system/menu etc from my phone without a problem. Cricket cannot seem to figure it out and I am wondering if it is an issue with 10 Mobile.

Anyone else having issues with voicemail? Thx.

Settings > System > Phone > scroll down to bottom > Sim 1 Settings.... Did you have 'Use default VM number' enabled? May be this got changed somehow and you may want to confirm with Cricket for the VM number? [its VM number and would not be same as your phone number]

Default VM number is enabled and was confirmed with Cricket (813-382-3347). This number apparently connects to the VM menu from the phone. When it is changed, this no longer works (we changed it to 813-382-3346). We tried turning call forwarding on (813-382-3346) and this worked (call went to voicemail). Unfortunately, my phone won't ring with this enabled and we could not get the delay turned on for call forwarding.

Little support from Cricket...told to go to a store for support. Doubt that the person at the store will know anything about Windows Phones. If there are any other Cricket customers out there, can you confirm that they are able to get voicemail after upgrading to WM10? Thx

New tech from Cricket...problem resolved. Not sure if the issue was related to upgrading my phone vs specific to Cricket vs WM10. In any event, the "voicemail pilot server" had to be reset so that it pointed to the correct voice mail server. Here is the chat dialogue for future reference.

Cindy S: start by dialing the following please
Cindy S: *67*18133823346#
Me: It said "succeeded"
Cindy S: then call after the call ends dial *61*18133823346# after the calls end
Cindy S: dial *62*18133823346# then call
Cindy S: this should correct the Voicemail pilot number and all unaswered calls should then route the correct voice mail server

All fixed, ticket closed.
