Why don't I have any sound since the November update?

Windows Central Question

No sound since Nov. update

Had Windows 10 about 6 months. After the Nov. update; I no longer have sound from the speakers; but do have sound using headphones. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Any help out there. I have a Lenovo computer.

Right click on the Start button and select Device Manager. From there, look at the list. There should be "Audio inputs and outputs" or something to that effect. If there's any yellow exclamation points next to it, there's your problem. You need to update the audio drivers. (Get them from Lenovo's site)
If not, you can try right clicking on the Audio device in the list and "update drivers" manually. Or select "uninstall" and then have it "scan for hardware changes" to redetect the audio hardware and install the appropriate drivers that way.
