Suppose I am playing some video/audio from an application and I tap on start button from the bottom toolbar while I am in the player screen itself. The start menu appears on top of the audio/video screen as an overlay and does not get paused. Is there any way/event that audio/video can be paused on this tap?

why use the start button? You can use the pause button if it is there on the keyboard or space bar button for some applications
