I am so tired of all this damn articles saying Skype is dropping support for Windows 10 Mobile. Some go into a little more detail and say dropping support for Messaging in Windows 10 Mobile which confuses even more people into thinking SMS app for Windows 10 is being canned.. So damn annoying!

Skype IS NOT dropping support for Windows 10 Mobile but for Windows Phone 8/8.1

Skype is dropping support for Windows 10 Mobile TH2 (build 10586) and for Windows Phone 8/8.1

That press is what they get for sunsetting Skype on those devices, including Messaging+Skype on 10586 builds of 10 Mobile.

Skype is still officially supported on...

Android 4.0.3+ (December 2011 - and even ARMv6! Sans video-calling though.)
iOS 8+ (Fall 2014 - right after Windows Phone 8.1.)

(those are the minimum requirements while on Windows Phone it requires the Anniversary Update or newer.)

Frankly I think this raises compatibility questions to a degree. Could possibly be the magic of Google Play Services or a large enough userbase on Android ICS. But I'm not going to quickly buy the latter.

I am concerned more about release of new Skype for Windows 10... there's no news even about beta.
