Update path for windows 10 Cumulative Updates

I've had this problem before with Windows 10 cumulative updates of not jumping build versions. For example version 1607 from 693 to 1593 build, had to use next build 953, otherwise it would fail. Having same problem with v 1607 build 1066. Microsoft must have list of proper sequence of cumulative updates. Does such a list exist?

The whole point of cumulative updates is that they include all previous updates. So there shouldn't be any reason you'd need to do them in any order (the latest update is the only one you need). Just getting the latest updates from Windows Update (in settings) should be fine.

If you're getting issues with that, it might be caused by something else? Did you do anything to change how the updates work (blocking or overriding it beyond what you can do in the settings app)?
