Fall Creators Update increases CPU Load?

Hi, this is yet another rant about the new big update...

So first thing I noticed from this update is that it broke Mobile Hotspot on my laptop.

And then I also noticed that my laptop's fan never rests!
The CPU is always at above 20% load, with 11% caused by "Service Host: Local Service (No Network) (3)"

I know 20% doesn't seem much, but it's enough to make my laptop fan working overtime.

Does anyone have a same problem?

Maybe it's indexing, or messing with dotNET libraries. Either way it should settle down. So far both my updated machines can sit at idle (0%-2% cpu. Thankfully.

The build does reset a few things so maybe you, before, had custom power settings? Who knows how your machine differs from others. Maybe roll back and wait a few weeks?

Thanks for the reply.

The aforementioned Service Host, when expanded, shows three threads: "Windows Defender Firewall", "CoreMessaging", and "Base Filtering Engine".

So yeah it could be indexing, but I wonder why it takes more than a day to index...
