Keyboard not working

So my GF's laptop's keyboard stopped working recently. You can't type anywhere in the system, and the on-screen keyboard isn't working as well. If you try to type something using the on-screen keyboard you just get this sound and nothing happens, no input or whatsoever.

So none of the keyboards are working.

What's interesting is that I can actually use the win key to access start menu, access task manager via CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and similar. Function keys are also working.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention. Keyboard is fully operational in the login screen. So I have no problems typing the password there.

Any suggestions?

Do any of the function keys disable the keyboard?
Will a USB keyboard plugged in work at all?

There is a combination with Fn key to change the layer, I've already tried that, but it doesn't help.

Also, if it means anything, wifi won't work either. Tried re-installing drivers but as you may have guessed, that doesn't help a bit.
