Has anyone had problems removing their Windows Mail app?

Ok, has anyone else tried in the last couple of days to remove an email account from their Windows Mail app? To do that, you go into email, bring up the settings, open the "account" option and go to the bottom to remove the one that you want. Except now, there is no "remove account" option. Attempting to highlight an option only launches that email account. "Accounts" only gives you the option to see the accounts, and add an email account. What happened? This is only in the last day or two.
I have two old email accounts that need to be removed.
Also, what happened to the Google Gmail accounts - now they require to be signed in every time. I hate Gmail already, and now this.

I can still see that. This is on windows 8.1 in the mail app.

Yes. Had this issue on my tablet W8.1, desktop W10, and wife's surface RT. Found a solution. Turned off WiFi, rebooted, and then the option to remove was available highlighting the particular email account. Was also able to fix another account that had issues.
