Why does my Windows Calendar change time zones irrationally?

Windows Calendar changes time zones irrationally

Scenario:

I am travelling in the Eastern Time Zone. I call an office in the Central Time Zone and set an appointment for 3pm in a few days. I then travel to the Central Time Zone.

My appointment now reads that it is at 2pm - which is 100% wrong and makes no sense. Even if it is a phone appointment, I would never schedule an appointment as if I were in a different time zone. Travel plans and such are always given in local time, not adjusted to your home time zone.

How can I change the Windows Calendar behavior to default to "absolute" time, so my appointments don't reschedule themselves?

Re: Windows Calendar changes time zones irrationally

the issue is, it knows what time zone you were in when you set the appt. I don't see a way to change it on the phone, but at calendar.live.com you can set the timezone of the calendar event.

I don't know of a way to force it to be a certain time regardless of timezone though
