Those came out real good. Nice color.

Better than my attemps on a D3100 :( I think I just need to fiddle around with the M settings more. But it was raining, my Transformer was out of batteries, and my Vaio SA doesn't like the weather. Buy the time I got out later, it was severely overcast, which made taking decent pics rather hard. I think I'll upload those later, when I get a better internet connection :)

Overall opinion, it's good, but not great. I remember my galaxy SII being a smidgen better, so it may be the software at fault; however, I got to play with a HTC Vivid during this trip, and say... it bests the camera on the Focus S, by a fair, and uncontested, margin. The HTC's advantage is even more pronounced indoors and during darker scenes, likely due to the smaller aperature of the Focus S (f2.8 vs f2.2 of recent HTC phones, iirc - for reference, iPhone 4S is f2.4).

Also, all depend on the skill of the photographer, and honestly.... I'm not very good :(

Note: press F5 a couple of times to get all of the thumbnails loaded up, some web browsers have a tendancy of timing out large workloads on slower connections.

also direct links (sorry, I didn't merge them like my other post)

ATH-M50(s?) rock :) Did you get the coiled cable version or the straight? I kinda regret getting the straight cable version :(

Also, uploading quite a few photos right now...

I got the coiled version even that feels long at times , but these cans are very nice:)

my focus s finally came in the mail yesterday and ive been playing around with the camera ^^ and im impressed :D

snap a pic while walking, i didn't do any half-press focus, i think it auto-focused alrdy when i pressed down the camera button;

capturing my cat moving around;

and im reallllly impressed, my HTC Surround could never capture still pics of my cat moving, her head will be blurred or i could never see her face, and i mean she moves alot. (even tho shes kinda fat as u can see ;)) the Focus S could actually capture it and it turns out to be a clear pic! it may also be because of the anti-shake option :] i just checked the exif of my other pics and the shutter speed can go up to 1/1818 sec!

played with the macro for a bit. tho there arnt many flowers blossoming at this time of the year.. XD

and took some pics of the new iQ :D

^ this one is taken by my brother. he also has a Focus S. :] [setting: high saturation, anti-shake]

note; all settings are default besides the anti-shake is on and that i bumped the contrast to high instead of normal, so the noise is more noticeable in my pics but i still like it better with the contrast set to high XD;
and imgur has resized my photos >:[

--edit--
more photos today

snap this in the car when it was going 70 mph, from lockscreen to camera. :]

indoor macro pic

some outdoor pics

--edit again--
front camera quality;

My Focus S seems to have this weird greenish tint in the center of all my photos. Almost like leftover oily residue on the lens from manufacturing, except it hasn't gone away and it doesn't appear any cleaning of the lens cover helps.

Any ideas?

Exchange it... I know that's what I would do.

Seems like it takes better pictures on the move than my Titan.

Mine also has this problem, I went to an att store to exchange it and all the units they had(in the back unopened and the display unit) had the same issue with the camera. Seems to be a defect with the series. They offered to exchange it for a different phone and to call Samsung to complain.

My wife is a good photographer and has a nice Olympus camera. She doesn't use it on vacation anymore since she got her N8. The Nokia N8 (which I hope they make a Nokia WP N8) is the best out there for phone cameras:

Umm...HOLY ****?

I can clearly saw the pores on that lady's face. The cat pictures are also amazing, how come the Lumia 800 camera fails so hard?

I'm guessing cost and bulk. The N8 is/was an expensive phone to produce, plus the tech inside made it bulky. Nokia would have a hard time competing with slimmer (and sexier) devices like the iPhone, Titan, Nexus, or Galaxy.
