Horrible Call Quality

My Lumia 900's outgoing call quality has been terrible for the past 7 months or so. I've had the phone for 14 months so far and the call quality was pretty good initially, but it is near unusable with people saying it is very muffled and goes "in and out of being muffled." The only way they can hear me clearly is if I put my mouth right on the bottom end of the phone and speak loudly. I contacted Nokia through chat and did a complete phone restore, but it did nothing to the call quality. They advised me to send the product back in to them, but I upgrade in November and really don't want to have to wait a few weeks without a phone.

Do you guys have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Check and see if you have lint or dust obstructing your microphone That may very well be your problem If not maybe the microphone wires have come loose or its blown
