Cannot send text messages abroad anymore

For some strange reason I cannot send text messages abroad with my Lumia 800. Domestic text messages are ok. I have upgraded to win phone 7.8 and initially it worked. Now however I have this problem (at the same time whatsapp is a bit slow sometimes, although that's probably a different thing). Does anyone know what is happening here?

Do you get any error message, or how do you know that it doesn't work? :wink:

Yes, I get an error message (could not send). Mostly within a couple of minutes, but it can take up to fifteen minutes for it to come...

Ok, since it worked initially it sounds like it isn't your phone, it sounds more like it is something with your network provider.

Have you checked the country code is correct for the area you are trying to text to?

I had this issue before and had to turn of (I think) International Assist in the Phone settings, because it was adding an extra digit to the number, hence the could not send error.
