How to get video to display right

Hello. Got my 521 a week ago and have mostly been loving it.

One issue though, when I watch some video, it doesn't look right. The video in question has a native resolution of 708x480 (standard widescreen DVD). I know the 521 has a native resolution of 800x480. The video plays fine, but everything looks elongated. I've tried the two options that change the 'stretching' if you will and neither make it look right. I don't mind re-encoding the videos, but I generally use handbrake and I can't seem to get it to do anything that would make the video look correct.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Reencode videos to 720x480 see if makes the difference Or 640x360 depending on aspect ratio of original video. I use winavi reencode videos with in either avi or mp4 format.

Playing around with some video this morning and using the PC App MediaInfo to get aspect ratio of video.

708x480 is 3:2 aspect ratio, so is 720x480 which will give same results most likely.

But 720x406 is 16:9, so is 640x360 so those should appear right.

2.35:1 aspect ratio use 720x272
2.40:1 aspect ratio use 720x264

that should help you some more.
