battery and charging issues 822

I've been very happy with my 822. But I've run into a charging issue; no matter how I charge the 822 (inductively, using the car charger or the usb cord to a computer hard drive), I can't seem to push the charged battery above about 12-13%. I've switched batteries, same story.

This is a recent development; I've had the phone about six months, with no other complaints (I prefer it to the 922 because the 822 is smaller). Does anyone have any idea what is going on or have a thought as to how to fix it?

try resetting the phone is the only thing I can think of, maybe it is something within Windows causing the issue. I remember a laptop of mine stopping the battery charging because it thought it was dead before it actually was

As it happens, I did try that, just after I sent the post and, wonder of wonders, all is well with the world again. But no idea why this behavior occurred. I guess it's an important remember that low tech fixes sometimes work just fine.
