Windows Central Question

We are using Surface Pro 4 and want to use facial recognition (Microsoft Hello).
We use Active Directory and want to know if both can be used together.

If we use facial recognition, how will this work with group policies, active directory, etc.

thanks

Hello is used to unlock the computer. Active directory happens after your admin credentials are verified. What did you mean to use Hello with AD?

We have a AD environment. When users login they user User ID & Password.
Users are now asking to use Hello.

Since we are authenticating via AD, can Hello be used with AD.

Dont have windows hello myself, but presumably it would work with AD. Same as fingerprint does. Just need to associate the username and pass with the windows hello 'password'

Though it would be local credentials, not domain. Wouldn't work on computers its not specifically setup on.

Microsoft should extend Microsoft Hello to function as an alternate credential provider in AD Federated Services (AD FS) on Server 2012 R2. Maybe they are still thinking about this or maybe saving this for Windows Server 2016? If they don't a third party will come in and steal the bacon.
