Idea for w10 phones: Customizable back covers

Why not let people design their own back covers with high quality prints underneath a see through layer of plastic? In every color possible or even a photo of your family or a beautiful landscape or a piece of art?

Wouldn't that be truly a personal experience? It could become a hype and a leap to success and allow great marketing. And you would spot these phones from miles in public spaces.

I'd like that.
​But the design issue will be that in the latest craze of making phones as thin as possible (and hence limiting the battery life), it might be difficult to convince them to implement.
