After hard reset stuck with old apps

Hi I di a hard reset to try and get phone running smoother, now I have old apps such as music and one drive but when I go to the store and search for them, clicking upgrade it begins the process then fails at installation saying the apps needs attention, tried resetting then upgrade but still the same issue. Any ideas, no error code is given either.

Do you have a ms account logged in?

Hit the Cortana button and see if it ask you to sign in.

Doesn't a hard reset upgrade all the apps? It seems to re-download everything for me.

A hard reset for me made nothing run smoother.

Had to rollback to 8.1. I can cope with bugs, but it was an ancient version of one drive I had, it wouldn't update either, back on 8.1 all is behaving as it should.
