Slow Ring not available

Hello Insiders,

maybe someone of you has a good answer on my "problem". On my 1020 after installing the Windows Insider app I can only select the fast ring for update. A selection for slow ring is simply not existing. Is this a normal behavior?

Is it possible that this is a result because I stopped the update process after receiving GDR2 over the Insider app?

Also when I go into Phoneupdate setting the phone is showing that Version 10.0.12534.56 is ready to install, shouldn't it be 10.0.12534.59 already?

Thanks in advance!

My 1020 only displayed fast ring before the 10051 install.
Going from 10051 to 10052, there's a slow ring option available.
Stopping at GDR2 wasn't the intention, and it sounds like Insider's downloaded 10.0.012534.56 in the background.
You're in the worst of both world's - half in the Insider program, half out. And so completely unsupported.
I'd roll back. Or forward. But get it to a "standard" set up.

Ok thanks, I am fine with GDR2 right now. When a new build comes that is really more stable I will perform a clean install anyway.

Yeah, getting GDR2 means you'll get a prompt for Windows 10 update soon afterwards, which you can stop of you want just by not upgrading.

We don't know at this point how having GDR2 on your phone will affect future updates or even whether it's really stable (some say yes, some say no).

I had an update on my 1520 yesterday which turned out to be GDR2. I wondered what was going on at first and then I got the update notification for Windows 10. I had to roll back and then delete the Windows Insider app to get myself out of the loop (I have a secondary device for Win 10).

From the point of stability I cannot say any negative thing about running GDR2 on my 1020. It's my daily driver and I have absolutely no problems with it, but as we know this could be different on other installations.

For me it seems that one cannot upgrade directly from GDR2 to the newer builds because there is no possibility to force a new search for updates when the phone already predicts one update (which is the old one in my case)
