Can you not restore back to 8.1 if you previously updated to Win 10 Tech Preview 10080?
I've tried hard reset, factory reset, etc and they all just put me back to 10.0.12562.84 (on Verizon).

Reset will not put you to 8.1, have to use Windows Phone Recovery Tool to go back to 8.1.

Hmm, does that need be done on a Win 8 machine? I'm trying on a Windows 7 machine, and the recovery tool doesnt pick up when the phone is in the boot loader mode with the barcodes and such on it.

Just installed the latest build 10136 on my HTC One and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this issue.

The resolution still seems rather jacked. I'm able to add a photo to the start screen, but it comes in so pixelated and looks terrible.

Am I alone?

Cortana, unable to initialize voice
UI glitches.. Had to dig around for email accounts
Scaling issues..
Missed a bunch of SMS messages, reason unknown.

Following a hard reset.

Back to win 8.1

It IS much better than 10080 was on my HTC One M8. Still ended up having to revert back to 8.1 due to text notifications not alerting me, the virtual buttons on the bottom still lack a hide button, and the blurry icons kind of bugged me lol. Very much progress from the last build nonetheless. Will continue testing on my 1020 instead.

I am on vacation till Monday so will decide this weekend on whether to stay or back to 8.1. So far not too many issues.

- Had Cortana no voice for ahile, but then started after I set up..duh..
- Scaling Issues. I do have this and found mostly related to "Text Scaling setting" in system, ease of access. Seems anything over 100% does not wrap, expand frame it is in or something and text starts to wrap/crowd funny. Had to lower scaling to reduce issue.

Important question that will be a decision maker for me: Does this build support TTLS/Phase 2 Authentication for connecting to Wifi? As of now, I can't connect to my college's Wifi because WP8 and WP8.1 do not have a feature that WP7 had when it first launched! If no, then I wont be able to upgrade to W10M when it comes out during the fall semester. But if yes, I'll install this update and be able to upgrade to the official build 😊

Biggest issue I have had so far as notifications not consistently sent to MS Band
Live tiles not updating
Calendar app rarely opens
Don't see option to add Email to quick glance lock screen
Otherwise if nothing else happens, may keep as daily

I received that update last night and several issues have been resolved: notification sounds (still can't customize them though), Start & Lock screen pictures are crisper, Icons are larger & feels more fluid.

I'm on....

Firmware: 2061.30.30501.605
