cannot change from slow ring to fast ring

I've been on the fast ring since they first introduced the concept of rings. When I updated to 10074, I noticed that the Settings app says I'm on the slow ring.
I try changing it to 'fast' but when I reload the Settings app or reboot, it reverts back to 'slow'.
Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix? (currently am on build 10130 and want to update to 10158)

I have the same problem trying to switch my Dell Venue 8 Pro to fast ring. Also on 10130. Cannot get the setting to stick.

Select update, then as fast as you can, choose advanced settings then select fast ring and steady on that screen for several minutes. Eventually it will begin downloading.
